He is currently working in School of Computer Science-Duy Tan University, Da Nang, Vietnam as Professor, Scientist, Vice-Chairman (Research) and Director- IoT and Intelligent Systems Lab. A Certified Professional with 280+ Professional certifications from CISCO, Microsoft, CompTIA, Amazon, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle, Google, Salesforce, Tableau, FinOps, Beingcert, EXIN, GAQM, Cyberoam and many more. Bio: Ahmad Bazzi was born in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He received his PhD degree in electrical engineering from EURECOM, Sophia Antipolis, France, in 2017, and the MSc degree (summa cum laude) in wireless communication systems (SAR) from Centrale Supélec, in 2014. He is currently a Research Scientist at the Wireless Research Lab of New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi, and NYU WIRELESS, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, contributing to integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). Prior to that, he was the Algorithm and Signal Processing Team Leader at CEVA-DSP, Sophia Antipolis, leading the work on Wi-Fi (802.11ax) and Bluetooth (5.xx BR/BLE/BTDM/LR) high-performant (HP) PHY modems, OFDMA MAC schedulers, and RF-related issues. He is an inventor with multiple patents involving intellectual property of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products, all of which have been implemented and sold to key clients. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is a full member of Sigma Xi (ΣΞ), The Scientific Research Honor Society. Since 2018, he has been publishing lectures on the YouTube platform under his name “Ahmad Bazzi”, where his channel contains mathematical, algorithmic, and programming topics, with over 270,000 subscribers and more than 17 million views, as of November 2024. He was awarded a CIFRE Scholarship from Association Nationale Recherche Technologies (ANRT) France, in 2014, in collaboration with RivieraWaves (now CEVA-DSP). He was nominated for Best Student Paper Award at IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) 2016. He received the Silver Plate Creator Award from YouTube, in 2022, for his 100,000 subscriber milestone. He was awarded an exemplary reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Communications in 2022, an exemplary reviewer for the IEEE Wireless Communications Letters in 2022 and an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society (OJ-COMS), 2025. He served as technical program committee (TPC) member and a reviewer for many leading international conferences. He was selected amongst top 200 Top Arab creators for 2023. He serves as an editor of the IEEE Communications Letters, 2025-2026 and the IEEE OJ-COMS, 2025-2026. He also serves as a guest editor for the IEEE OJ-COMS special issue on “Resilient and Trustworthy Communications for 6G Wireless Environments: Integrating Sensing, AI, and Security in Smart Wireless Systems”, 2026. His research interests include signal processing, wireless communications, artificial intelligence, statistics, and optimization.

Bio: Pavel Loskot joined the ZJU-UIUC Institute in January 2021 as an Associate Professor after being 14 years with Swansea University in the UK. He received his PhD degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Alberta in Canada, and the MSc and BSc degrees in Radioelectronics and Biomedical Electronics, respectively, from the Czech Technical University of Prague in the Czech Republic. In the past 25 years, he was involved in numerous collaborative research and development projects, and also held a number of paid consultancy contracts with industry. He is the Senior Member of the IEEE, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK, Recognized Research Supervisor of the UK Council for Graduate Education, and the IARIA Fellow. His current research interests focus on mathematical and probabilistic modeling, statistical signal processing and classical machine learning for multi-sensor data.


Umesh Chandra Pati

Bio: Dr. Umesh C. Pati is a Full Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela. He has obtained his B.Tech. Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, Odisha. He received both M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation and Image Processing, respectively, from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. He is currently serving as Chairperson, International Students Cell, NIT Rourkela. He has also served as Head, Career Development Center, NIT Rourkela for three years.
His current areas of interest are Image/Video Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Imaging, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Automation, and Instrumentation Systems. He has authored/edited Three books and published more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed international journals as well as conference proceedings. He has served as a reviewer in a wide range of reputed international journals and conferences. He has delivered a number of Keynote/Invited Talks at various International/National platforms. Dr. Pati has filed 4 Indian patents. Besides other sponsored projects, he is currently associated with a high-value IMPRINT project, “Intelligent Surveillance Data Retriever (ISDR) for Smart City Applications,” which is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India.
He has visited countries such as the USA, Italy, Austria, Australia, Singapore, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Nepal, etc., in connection with research collaborations and paper presentations. He was also an academic visitor to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, San Diego State University, USA, and the Institute for Automation, University of Leoben, Austria. He is a Senior member of IEEE, Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), Fellow of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), and life member of various professional bodies like MIR Labs (USA), The Indian Society for Technical Education, Instrument Society of India, Computer Society of India, and Odisha Bigyan Academy. His biography has been included in the 32nd edition of MARQUIS Who’s Who in the World 2015. He is also a recipient of Torchbearer of Education Award 2020 by Coding Ninjas.
